DESCRIPTION

A merino wool with the distinctive color flecks of Donegal tweed. This blend retains the warmth and durability of traditional tweed, but with a softer, more luxurious feel thanks to merino wool.

NATURALLY HAND HYED

We dye the skeins by hand with natural dyes, following techniques and procedures with a low environmental impact.

Natural colours have a natural, genuine beauty. Any plant from which we extract the dye contains more than just one pigment, so the dyeing process is simply magical.

Each skein is unique.

We recommend purchasing enough to complete your project and alternating skeins every few turns if you want to achieve a more uniform colour effect.

A NOTE ABOUT INDIGO

Indigo-dyed fibres may bleed or stain your hands and needles while knitting.

This is completely normal as some of the indigo molecules are released by friction (you have a clear example with the jeans). Once you wash your hands, the blue stains disappear.

When mixing colours with indigo, these loose molecules do not usually bleed, although, as always and especially when working with very saturated colours, we recommend knitting and washing a small swatch.

CARE

Take care of your garments by washing them – when necessary – by hand with a neutral soap (natural dyes are very sensitive to pH) and let them dry on a flat surface.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHY

Even though we take special care to photograph colors faithfully, tones may vary from one monitor to another.
