DESCRIPCIÓN

Merino wool with the distinctive colored flecks of Donegal tweed, adding character and depth to the fabric without sacrificing softness. This blend retains the warmth and durability of traditional tweed, enriched with merino for a softer, more pleasant feel against the skin.

Its texture and the interplay of colored flecks work especially well in pieces where stitch structure dialogues with the yarn, allowing the material to express its own character.

PROJECTS

NATURALLY DYED

We hand-dye our skeins using natural dyes extracted from plants grown under certified organic cultivation.

We apply low-impact dyeing techniques and processes. Each skein shows subtle variations, a result of the hand-dyeing process and the nature of the pigment itself.

We recommend purchasing sufficient yarn to complete your project and alternating skeins while knitting if a more uniform result is desired.

NOTE ON INDIGO

Fibers dyed with indigo may transfer a small amount of color onto hands or needles—especially wooden or bamboo ones—during knitting.

This is completely normal: some indigo molecules are released through friction, as also happens with denim. Any staining washes off the hands and does not affect the quality of the yarn.

When combining indigo-dyed colors with others, these particles do not usually transfer. However, as with any highly saturated shade, we recommend knitting and washing a small swatch before starting the project.

CARE

We recommend hand washing garments only when necessary, using a mild soap, and drying them flat.

Natural dyes are sensitive to pH, so it’s important to avoid harsh detergents.

Natural fibers do not require frequent washing. In many cases, airing the garment well between uses is enough to keep it in good condition.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHY

Although we take special care to photograph colors accurately, tones may vary slightly depending on the monitor or device on which they are viewed.
