• Hand knitting is a gesture that connects hands, material, and time.
Quality, discernment, and materials that support meaningful projects.

Not every yarn behaves the same way in a garment like this. When the design leaves room for the material to speak, it is the texture, the drape, and the depth of the colour that ultimately define the finished piece.

HILO Nudo is a Japanese cotton with a subtly irregular surface that, when held double, creates a lightweight fabric full of depth and nuance. In this version, I combined one black skein with one navy skein to achieve a richer colour with subtle shifts depending on the light.

This garment is a good example of the balance between construction and material—a summer sweater where the yarn has just as much to say as the design itself.
